A Lifetime in New York Real Estate — From Every Angle

Michael Moshan’s reputation as one of New York’s premier residential real estate attorneys is built on nearly 20 years of exclusive focus on real estate law — and a career that spans every corner of the industry.

Michael earned his BA from Washington University in St. Louis before receiving his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1995. He built his foundation in real estate law as an associate at Gold & Gold, PC, became a partner at Gold Scollar Moshan, PLLC, and in 2014 founded his own thriving practice, Michael Moshan, Attorney at Law, PLLC.

Michael’s commitment to understanding real estate extends far beyond traditional law. He has managed his own real estate investments, launched a title insurance venture, served as counsel for coop and condo boards, represented lenders at closings, and advised countless investors and developers. This hands-on experience gives him a uniquely holistic view of the field — enabling him to anticipate issues, see around corners, and protect clients in ways few purely transactional lawyers can.

Always Hands-On, Always In Your Corner

Clients choose Michael for his deeply personal approach. Every file stays on his desk; every call, email, and negotiation runs through him. That means nothing is lost in translation, timelines stay tight, and your deal gets the urgency and attention it deserves. Michael’s extensive network in the New York real estate community — from managing agents and brokers to transfer agents and opposing counsel — also ensures smoother, faster transactions.

He’s handled thousands of deals across New York City, the boroughs, Long Island, upstate, and the surrounding suburbs, representing everyone from first-time buyers to foreign investors acquiring trophy properties. He’s also trained real estate agents on contracts, spoken at first-time buyer workshops like “Buying into Brooklyn,” and been quoted in The New York Times on everything from condo diligence to the psychology of moving.

Life Beyond Law

When he’s not immersed in contracts and closings, Michael is likely on a tennis court. A lifelong player, he founded the McCarren Tennis Ladder in Brooklyn and now runs the Westchester Tennis Ladders. This July, he’ll represent the United States on the men’s 55+ tennis team at the Maccabi Games in Israel.

Michael is also a musician who co-wrote and co-produced Rock the SAT, a vocabulary study guide set to original rock music, published by McGraw-Hill. He’s played keyboard in numerous New York bands, and today jumps in with The Yacht Lobsters or jams with his local garage group, Killer Mixtape.

Michael lives in Irvington with his wife, their two boys, and their dog Ziggy. He enjoys movies, hiking, BBQ, great ramen, live music, watching the Mets and Knicks, gardening, and Premier League football — especially when his sons join him.
